Resiwood TG6 Timber Grout

TG6 TIMBER GROUT is one of a series of specially developed epoxy resin systems for the structural repair of timber

Purchasing Information

Product Codes: TG62.5LTR / TG67.5LTR

Pack Size: 2.5 litres / 7.5 litres

TG6 TIMBER GROUT is one of a series of specially developed epoxy resin systems for the structural repair of timber.

It is supplied in 7.5 litres and 2.5 litres. Each pail contains the correct amount of filler/resin and curing agent for the appropriate pack size. TG6 Timber Grout is free flowing and very searching.

Preparation:

Timber surfaces should be clean, free from dust and loose or friable particles. TG6 TIMBER GROUT is free flowing and very searching. Any cracks or apertures must be adequately sealed with Rotafix P7 BONDING PASTE before mixing and pouring. Where timber preservatives are involved, please consult our Technical Department.

Mixing:

The contents of the base resin container/s and the curing agent container/s should be thoroughly mixed in the outer container. The total amount of the filler is then added to the liquid and mixed for 2-3 minutes. Mechanical mixing using the appropriate Rotafix  paddle is strongly advised for the 2.5 litre pack and essential for the 7.5 litre pack. The 7.5 litre pack is made up of 3 x 2.5 litre units. If the full 7.5 litres is to be used then all packs need to be mixed in one container.

The 2.5 litre units can also be mixed individually if a smaller amount of material is required.

Application:

The volume of material required for a particular pour should be precalculated. The mixed TG6 TIMBER GROUT should then be poured or pumped in such a way that there is a continuous head.

Coverage:

When mixed both pack sizes of TG6 TIMBER GROUT will give the stated volumes of finished grout. As a guide, an 7.5 litre pack would fill a void of 100mm x 100mm x 750mm.

Cure Schedule:

Rate of cure and exotherm will be related to ambient temperature, material temperature, volume of material poured and the aspect ratio of the pour.
