DRAINAGE SOLUTIONS AND BATTERY BACKUPS
When installing Wykamol Cavity Drainage membranes careful
attention must be given to provide a suitable drainage solution. Natural
drainage is not normally possible or convenient in below ground situations, so
mechanical drainage must be used.
Wykamol offer a large range of pumps for the control of
water movement and can supply everything the contractor needs for flooded
basements.
In certain instances a more powerful pump maybe required (greater height
pumping capability) or a 2nd pump is required as a back up in case the first one
fails.
Wykamol can advise the contractor in this instance what the
correct pump would be for these situations. Please see our standard pump
specification the (Goliath 50 pmua2).
If this is not powerful enough the Wykamol technical team
can advise on a range of alternatives. Care must be taken when installing
sump pumps to ensure they are accessible for maintenance and checked on a
regular basis to ensure they are working correctly.
As a result of the inherent issues with installing drainage at a low level the
need to use pumped drainage is essential. Due to the
forever-increasing demand for pumped drainage we are pleased to announce that we
mow offer a range of pumping solutions.
The Magna systems are a range of fully automatic packaged pumping
stations specifically designed for pumping foul and waste water when gravity
drainage is not possible or economical to install.
The systems are suitable for installing either at the initial building stage
or retro fitting to existing buildings and can accept waste from a whole host of
applications (WC, basin, sink, washing machines etc.).
WYKAMOL SUMP KIT
The sump kit is a ready to use complete water control system principally
designed for the use in below ground structures to control water ingress.
The Sump kit system can be used for all basement conversions.

BATTERY BACK UP KIT
The powerflo battery back-up system is designed especially for circumstances
where the possibilty of primary pump failure through either a pump fault or loss
of mains power would be catastrophic. The system comprises of a control
panel, 24V back-up pump, 3 no. float switches, non-return valve and a IP 66
rated junction box.

SERVER BATTERY BACK UP (UPS)
This battery back-up system, has been designed for ease of use and works
simply by wiring the mains pump into the server unit, in the event of a power
failure the main units heavy duty battery will keep the pumps going for a long
period of time, this system is quick and easy to install.

POWERFLO TELEMETRIC SYSTEM
The systems are designed to alert the end user should a high level condition
be present in the tank. It calls and plays a pre-recorded message for up
to six separate telephone numbers (including mobiles) and continues to do so
until the call is acknowledged by one of the recipients.

ALARM ONLY
A battery alarm which is included in the sump kits free of charge but is
available separately. Care must be taken with this unit to make sure the
battery is changed regularly.

A heavy duty powered alarm which can be extended to fit anywhere in the house
for optimum use. This unit should be wall mounted and will notify clients
of a possible high water level.

Top of the range alarm system, being powered and battery back up, if a loss
of power happens the internal battery system will still operate a heavy duty
powered alarm which can be extended to fit anywhere in the house for optimum

KSB PUMP 301
7 metre head and 130 litres a minute pumping capacity. The KSB Ama
Drainer is a Submersible Waste Water Pump. Used for automaitc drainage of
sumps, pits, shafts, yards and cellars subject to a flooding risk, lowering
the surface water level, this pump is our standard pump in all our sump
systems.

AMA DRAINER 303
12 metre head and 240 litres a minute pumping capacity. The KSB Ama
Drainer 303 is a Submersible Waste Water Pump. Used for automatic drainage
of sumps, pits, shafts, yards and cellars subject to a flooding risk, lowering
the surface water level, this pump is our upgraded model and offers powerful
delivery.

The goliath is a powerful pump offering 180 litres per minute pumping
capacity with the benefit of an internal float arm. This pump can be
installed in tighter spaces due to an internal float mechanism.

AQUA CHANNEL - 2 METRE
Wykamol Aquachannel is a P.V.C. drainage conduit designed for the control of
water ingress in below ground situations. Wykamol Aquachannel is fitted
around the perimeter of the floor at the vulnerable wall/floor junction.

JETTING EYE
Jetting eyes and channel to sump conncetors can also be fitted into the
perimeter Aqua Channel drainage system to enable the Aquachannel to be cleaned
periodically if necessary.

DRAINAGE OUTLET
The drainage outlet can be used to get water from the channels to the sump
chamber or existing drain. The angle bend on the underside of the channel
takes water through a 32mm connection.

DRAIN END (LEFT OR RIGHT)
The drain end connector can be used to take water away through an external
wall to lower level drainage ideal for houses built into a hillside where lower
drainage is possible. This comes with either a left return or right return
depending on where it is to be sited.

AQUA DRAIN - 25M
Aquadrain is a drainage channel which acts as a perimeter conduit bedded in
at the wall/floor angle. Where appropriate, it can be laid under the slab
to take ground water to a sump or soak away and reduce floatation presssures
from baring on the slab.
