The Wykamol Group has long been involved with Timber Pre-treatment (focussing
on softwood construction timbers; carcassing, framing, joinery etc.). Our
Research and Development work in the 1960’s created one of the first ever ‘LOSP’
formulations and in the 90’s we pioneered the use of inorganic borates in the
double vacuum market (Tim-bor®).
The aim of the Wykamol Group has always been to supply products which allow
high levels of confidence in long-term durability whilst minimising the
environmental impact of the treatment or process. We are pleased to
announce therefore, as of November 2007, we were appointed agents/distributors
for the Dr. Wolman (BASF) range of Low Pressure (double vacuum) treatments
designed for Use Classes 1,2, & 3 (BS EN 335:1992). That is, covering
most timber applications other than fencing/landscaping (for details of Use
Class 4 preservatives please contact Dr. Wolman directly via www.wolman.de). Dr. Wolman GmbH has
a consistent track record of developing and marketing newer technologies in
advance of changing environmental pressures/Regulatory demands. The
Wolsit®KD product range epitomises this philosophy and offers high levels of
durability for building timbers at low doses and has more than twenty years of
field experience. As you would expect from BASF’s preservative division,
Wolsit KD and all Wolman preservatives fully comply with the requirements of
British and European Standards and NHBC/Zurich building insurance
schemes.
Please use the contact page to send enquiries regarding your
construction project and we will respond with our recommendations and/or details
of local suppliers of treated timber or bespoke treatment services.
